Step Five of buying a home in Alberta

The negotiations are the most important part in the process of buying a home. Every buyer and every seller negotiates a different way, so you need to be flexible and patient. We have a lot of experience in helping you navigate the challenges of the negotiation. Sometimes you will be competing with other buyers which means the strategy will be very different if you are not competing with other buyers. Below is some basic advice to follow, but we will give you specific advice for each situation we are in, as every negotiation is different. 

1. Understand what is considered “fair market value”. We will provide you comparable properties that have recently sold in the community you are buying in. Based on this information we will give you our recommendation on pricing. 

2. Know and understand which condition(s) and/or term(s) are needed to ensure you are protected. We will explain and make recommendations on what terms and conditions should be used. 

3. Have your deposit money ready within 24 hours of an accepted offer.
