Rob Vanovermeire has been involved in the Real Estate Industry in Calgary and surrounding towns since 1999.

He started out working as a buyers agent which allowed him to gain an understanding of real estate and leasing values. After 3 years of consistent hard work,he was invited to get involved with the Alberta Real Estate Association. He began working with a focus group offering advice to AREA on the content for various Real Estate Courses for their industry members. In 2005, he became an instructor for AREA and began teaching for Mount Royal University and CREB. He taught the “Real Estate Act of Alberta”.

In 2008, he came up with his own real estate brokerage and began implementing the marketing techniques he was teaching in his courses which proved to be invaluable. In 2014, he joined the “Coldwell Banker”, the largest real estate company in the world.

Ever since, Rob has now expanded their brokerage to 45 full time agents and staff and launched their own Property Management division.

Rob and his team have a simple philosophy they work on, “it’s not about us, it’s about the clients we serve.” Making sure that their clients are satisfied and happy is their number one goal!

I started out working as a buyer’s agent, and as a buyers agent I quickly gained a strong understanding as to how buyers think. This has given me better skills in negotiating with sellers.

After three years of consistent hard work, I was fortunate to rise to one of the top agents in my office and won numerous awards. With these accomplishments I was asked by the Calgary Real Estate Board to sit on various committees and offer feedback on improving the quality of agents entering the industry.


I’m always looking for better ways to improve my level of service. I decided to obtain my Brokers license and perform the duties of an Associate Broker. With a better understanding of The Real Estate Act, Rules, Regulations, By Laws, and The Code of Conduct, I can better protect my clients. I also believe that one should invest in Real Estate for retirement as well as one’s current lifestyle. I own property in Calgary and Canmore. We have to be our own client and do the things we’re asking our clients to do. I am always amazed at how few of our industry members actually invest in Real Estate.

I have a passion for helping others succeed, which is why I decided to get involved with the Alberta Real Estate Association and become a part time instructor teaching new Realtors entering the industry.

Seven years ago I opened my own regional franchise which then led to my Global Franchise, Coldwell Banker Mountain Center.
